The Asaro Farm is located in the heart of Valle del Belice, Sicily, close to the most important archaeological park in Europe. This territory is rich in history and traditions, the same ones the company carries on in its fields, by using organic and biodynamic methods.
Tommaso Asaro, after 15 years of agricultural experience in his four-generation family business, decided to take over this company in 2005 which extends on a total area of 37 hectares, including rare plants like Nocellara Belice, Cerasuola, and Biancolilla. Tommaso’s experience and passion for farming, and particuraly for olive growing, created the perfect balance in the revival of this project.
The Asaro Farm was immediately converted into organic farming; this is a new philosophy of growing products that are pesticide and chemical free, and produced with no harm for the environment. Nowadays the company produces oil by manually harvesting the olives, and milling them soon afterwards in the family oil mill. This oil carries in its heart the millennial history of Sicily that has already been acclaimed around the world. The ancient territory of Castelvetrano is indeed the homeland of the “oil of excellence”, and the birthplace of Nocellara del Belice certification as Protected Designation of Origin.
The Asaro Farm’s mission is to become the main point of reference for worldwide lovers of taste, who are purely in search of natural products and high quality.
